•    Site engineers
For setting out and dimensional co-ordination.

Subcontractors are independent companies employed for the duration of their work on the specific project for specialist trades such as roofing, steel frames and cladding.

As the processes of design and construction are considered in later chapters, reference is made to the development team, the design team and the contracting team. These descriptions as shown diagrammatically at the picture are used to indicate collective responsibility for certain areas of work depending on the client’s chosen method of procurement. The development team is used to refer to everyone involved with the project from start to finish. The design team is used to describe those responsible for the design and preparation of construction information and the contracting team undertakes construction on site. For design and build and project management methods, these two teams are combined into one, whereas in the traditional method they are separate.
